Mission Statement

Saint Francis Parish is a suburban parish in the town of Dracut, MA, formally established in 1963. Since our founding, our parish has grown to approximately 1500 Catholic families and is presently experiencing a re-awakening of faith and community.
Our mission is to faithfully fulfill the teachings of Jesus Christ. Centered in the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist and the sacramental life of the Catholic Church, we encourage prayer, religious vocation, parish involvement, civic awareness, and nurturing the God given talents and gifts of all. We are committed to creating an atmosphere which will enhance spiritual development. Our challenge is to unify and strengthen the bonds of our parish family, and to reach out and welcome others into our faith community. As disciples of Christ, we will strive to minister to one another so we might provide dignity and improve the quality of life for all those we serve.

The St. Francis Parish Mission Statement was developed by the Parish Pastoral Council in June 1995.

Prayer for Parish Renewal

Lord God, You love us with an everlasting love and You choose us to share Your love with others.
We ask that You rekindle in our hearts a new spirit of faith, of prayer, and of reconciliation.
Inspire us to search out and find ways of bringing one another closer to You.
We pray for all who form our parish community that together we may be renewed and transformed. All of this we ask in the name of Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
